Plentiful sun and sea air make The Virden Retreat Center an exceptional venue for social events, retreats, weddings and small meetings. Virden was designed to reflect coastal style with an easy and open layout – indoors and out. Six meeting rooms, tented patio, video conferencing, full registration and planning services, and available catering just about covers everything. Our modest size ensures quick responsiveness from our staff.

There is no shortage of things to do in and around Lewes. Getting around is easy on bike, foot or boat. Enjoy the town’s history, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, and museums. Or head to Cape Henlopen and relax on the beach.

Virden’s on-site accommodations make it easy to plan a multi-day meeting or event. We have 23 well-appointed guestrooms with king, queen and twin bed configurations with private baths.

There is also a Hospitality Room with kitchenette available for use as an adjoining suite to an overnight room or as a gathering place for after-meeting socializing.

And finally, end your day surrounded by the tranquility of the wetlands as you relax on your screened-in porch.
